Pho 83 now serving DiscoverTeas jasmine green with flowers!
Great news for all the hot tea lovers out there: Starting today, we will be serving DiscoverTeas’ awesome Jasmine Green with Flowers as our hot tea option, for the same great price! DiscoverTeas is a fellow local small business that is dedicated to offering the very best in loose-leaf tea. They sell a variety of high-quality teas, tisanes, and herbs which you can mix as you like either in 2-ounce increments to bring home, or in a cup of tea to enjoy for the day. DiscoverTeas also carries teaware to serve all your steeping needs.
For those of you who are new to or not yet interested in tea, they also host a variety of events throughout the week, such as Open Mic Nights and free tea tastings and classes–check out their DiscoverTeas Facebook page for more details and schedules!
What is the DiscoverTeas difference?
DiscoverTeas is committed to selling tea that meets the following standards:
- All-natural: DT researches their suppliers very closely to ensure that no harmful pesticides are used.
- Hand-picked: Real leaf tea, not the dust-and-fanning leftovers you find in bagged tea.
- No artificial flavors or preservatives: Any flavoring in the tea comes only from fruits, roots, leaves, or natural-pressed oils–no synthetic alcohol extracts.
- Grown on plantations using fair labor practices: DT checks to make sure that the plantations supplying their tea treat their workers fairly.
Please check out the DiscoverTeas Facebook page or their website at discoverteas.com if you’re interested, or drop by and see the DiscoverTeas difference for yourself.
DiscoverTeas is conveniently located in Port Warwick, just two lights down Jefferson from Pho 83, at 2170 William Styron Square South, Newport News. They also have a Williamsburg location (same staff, same owners–not a franchise) at the Village Shops at Kingsmill, 1915 Pocahontas Trail, just off of I-64.
As of now (Wed, Jan 29), we will be back on our normal hour schedule (Mon-Sat 10:30am-9:00pm, Sun 11:00am-8:00pm), at least until the next winter emergency (knock on wood!). We appreciate your patience and understanding, and hope everyone out there is staying safe and warm!
Due to road conditions in this morning’s snow, we will be opening half an hour late today, at 11:00am. Stay tuned for further updates as events warrant. Keep safe and drive carefully out there!
